State B Had A Big Impact On Local Economy

SPOKANE, Wash. - The annual WIAA Hardwood Classic State Basketball Tournament is a big deal for high school athletes and Spokane tourism.

According to the Spokane Tourism Board, the State B Tournament brings in a whopping $1.4 Million dollars over the three day tournament.

Many of the families at the tournament have been attending for 20 years or more.

It was estimated that out of every person that attends, each one spends about $100 dollars per day on shopping, hotels and food.

The State B Tournament ends on March 2nd.
