KHQ.COM - Spokane Valley firefighters and DNR crews have contained a 12 acre brush fire in the area of Harvard & Trent. They have a trail around it.
Fire crews tell us that two buildings did burn, a vacant farm house and an outbuilding. The corner of a mobile home was also scorched, but firefighters were able to save it.
Numerous firefighters from various agencies help fight this fire. There will be patrols throughout the evening to check for hot spots and fare ups.
One firefighters was injured when he was stung by a bee. That firefighter is allergic to bees and was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
The cause of this fire remains under investigation.
