SPD Responds To Gun Threat Call

Spokane Police Department Press Release:

SPOKANE, Wash. - On 01-19-13 at 7:35pm Spokane Police Department responded to call of a person with a weapon at 3900 E Longfellow. The complainant called in stating a male had threatened him with a handgun after an argument over an IPod.

Officers responded to the location and contained the house which the suspect, 37-year-old Timothy Raya, was in. They determined Raya was wanted on a felony DOC escape warrant.  Raya initially refused to come out of the residence. 

After hostage negotiators and the SWAT team arrived on the scene, Raya came out of the residence and was taken into custody without incident.  The firearm in the incident was discovered to be a BB gun. Raya was booked into jail on his Felony DOC warrant.
