SPD Detectives Investigate Life-Threatening Assault

PRESS RELEASE FROM SPOKANE POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Detectives are currently investigating a serious assault on Spokane's lower south hill.

At this time there is minimal information so anyone who may have observed suspicious activity in the area of 7th/Bernard before 6:00am this morning is urged to call the SPD Tip Line at 509-242-TIPS.

Just before 6:00am a report came in of a male sitting in a parking lot on 7th between Bernard and Washington, bleeding heavily.  The male was transported to the hospital with possibly life threatening injuries.  Officers and detectives responded to and are currently processing the crime scene.  At this time there is little information to go on so anyone who may have observed suspicious activity in the area before 6:00am is asked to call the Tip Line at 509-242-TIPS.

KHQ.COM: Tuesday Morning around 6am fire crews were called to 7th and Bernard where a man had reportedly been assaulted.

The victim suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital to the ICU. Major crimes were on scene and authorities are still investigating.There is no suspect at this time.

Roads were closed between Bernard and Washington on 7th until about 9:30am.
