BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Officials at the Mountain Home Air Force Base are preparing for the return of more than 200 airmen from a duty overseas.
The members of the 726th Air Control Squadron are expected to return around noon on Monday after serving half a year in Southwest Asia. The airmen were deployed in January to support operations as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The Air Force says the squadron has a wide-spread mission ranging from enemy surveillance to weapons control. The unit has received nearly a dozen Air Force meritorious awards for deployments around the world since 2003.
