RIGHT NOW: Post Falls Police Looking For Suspect In Attempted Child Abduction

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE POST FALLS POLICE DEPT: The Post Falls Police Department is asking for assistance from the public in locating a suspect in an attempted child abduction. On Friday, October 19th at approximately 5:50 PM, a 14-year-old female was walking south bound on Spokane St. at 10th Ave. in Post Falls, Idaho.

A vehicle stopped on the side of the road and a male driver got out of the car and attempted to coerce the child into the vehicle. When she refused to get into the vehicle, the male grabbed her by the arms and attempted to pull her in the vehicle. When she refused, the male driver  punched the victim in the face. The victim was able to flee and the suspect took off in his vehicle traveling southbound on Spokane St.

The suspect is described as a skinny white male, approximately 29 years of age, over six foot tall with brown hair, a very deep voice, and was missing three upper front teeth. The suspect was driving a newer green passenger car with a "fuzzy" tan interior.   The vehicle had dents all along the passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle was missing its standard passenger side mirror and the mirror had been replaced with a hand-held vanity mirror with the handle still attached. The victim stated that several citizens witnessed what occurred.  The victim reports that there were people walking on the sidewalk a block north of her that possibly observed the attack.  The victim also states that numerous vehicles drove by during the incident. We are asking any witnesses to contact the Post Falls Police Department, as well  as any person with any information that may assist us in identifying this suspect. If you observe this vehicle on the roadway, we ask that you take note of the license plate and report it as soon as possible. You can contact the Post Falls Police at 208-773-3517, or tips can be left at our website at www.postfallspolice.com.
