POST FALLS, Idaho - Thousands of people in North Idaho are unemployed, and the Department of Labor is stepping up to help many of them connect with employers who are looking to hire. They held a job fair in Post Falls Wednesday morning and early afternoon.
Jason Ball, a representative of Four Seasons Assisted Living in Coeur D'Alene who was at the job fair looking to hire caregivers spoke to KHQ Local News. Four Seasons has come to the job fair for four years and has hired about two applicants per job fair. "I'm glad this kind of event exists. It attracts a lot of quality job applicants and there's a lot of variety. It's kind of a nice thing to be a part of," Ball said. Over forty employers attended and planned to hire for an assortment of positions within the next three months. Their locations varied from North Idaho to Downtown Spokane; even Dave Smith Motors attended to hire positions in Kellogg. Various industries were also represented from healthcare and tourism to human resources and customer service. The next job fair in Post Falls is scheduled for early Autumn.
