Police: Suspect is dead in Calif. shooting of 5

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Investigators have confirmed that a man found dead at the property where five members of a Southern California family were shot - two fatally - is the neighbor police say was responsible for the shooting.

Inglewood police said Tuesday that the man found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head, holding a handgun and wearing body armor, was 55-year-old Desmond John Moses.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office made the determination after an autopsy.

Police say Moses set ablaze his backyard bungalow before spraying bullets at his neighbors early Saturday. Police say he blamed the family for an eviction notice.

Killed were 33-year-old Filimon Lamas, who was shielding three of his children when he was shot, and his 4-year-old son.

Lamas's 28-year-old wife and two other children were wounded.
