Police: Mo. man shot at boys who set off fireworks

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A St. Louis man accused of shooting at three boys who were setting off fireworks faces criminal charges.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/M4PL3r ) reports that one of the boys, an 11-year-old, was struck near his hip. Police said the boy was in stable condition.
Fifty-six-year-old William Prada was charged Friday with three counts each of first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Bail has been set at $75,000 cash only. No attorney is listed for Prada in online court records.
St. Louis police say the boys were shooting off fireworks in an alley Thursday night when the man yelled at them and pulled a firearm. Shots were fired in the direction of the 11-year-old and two 10-year-old boys.
Police say they recovered a firearm when they arrested Prada.
