SPOKANE, Wash. - Early Tuesday a man led police on a chase that ended around 4am after refusing to pull over. The pursuit ended near Gonzaga at Superior and Mission.
Police say the truck was weaving along the road and refused to pull over so they attempted two pit maneuvers. During the second maneuver, the truck became attached with the police car and the driver of the truck continued to drive, dragging the police car with him. It took a second police car to get the driver of the truck to stop.
Police say the truck was stolen and the driver is facing charges of first degree assault. The driver was injured during the chase and was taken to the hospital. There was a passenger in the car who was unharmed.
