Pipe Bomb Found Near Newman Lake

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies were alerted to the discovery of a pipe bomb near Newman Lake Sunday morning. 

The bomb was located by a resident on an ATV at a shooting range on Koth Rd. Deputies on scene told KHQ the bomb was about 4" x 12", made of PVC pipe and had multiple fuses. The bomb squad was called in and they disposed of the device in a safe manner.  There were no homes nearby and the bomb squad is now investigating the incident.
