SPOKANE, Wash. - We continue to learn new developments in an alleged child luring case that took place in the beginning of February. Police arrested 32 year old Jose Galvan on February 7th after two girls 18 and under said he tried to get them in his car.
The girls initially reported the man had a heavy mustache and was driving a black VW with a WSU sticker on the back. 15 minutes after the initial report a police officer pulled over Galvan driving a black VW with a WSU sticker, but he didn't have a heavy mustache. Now, weeks after the incident, a search warrant reveals that detectives obtained a razor from his car. That brings up the obvious question of "Did he shave his mustache after police were first called?" At this point we don't have official confirmation on that question.
After the initial report from two females police asked the community if there were any more potential victims. Since that time, three more females have come forward, two of them are sixteen years old. That brings the total number of allegations to five.
Luring in the state of Washington is a class C felony and Galvan is being investigated on several counts. Galvan is no longer in the Spokane County Jail, but police say they are well aware of his location and know exactly how to get a hold of him at all times.
