LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) - A Nez Perce tribal police officer is charged with voluntary manslaughter with a deadly weapon in the November 2011 shooting death of a man after a highway chase in northern Idaho. The Lewiston Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/WeWGwM ) Lewis County prosecutors filed the charge Thursday against 31-year-old Robert S. Wall in the death of 46-year-old Jeffrey A. Flinn of Lewiston. Prosecutors say Flinn led officers on a pursuit in a stolen truck until spike strips flattened the tires. Flinn stopped near Ferdinand and was shot. Another tribal police officer is charged with lying to FBI investigators. The indictment alleges the officer knew that Flinn got out of the truck and "stood facing law enforcement officers with his hands in the air for three to five seconds before he was shot and killed."(Copyright 2013 The Associated Press.
