MULLAN, Idaho - City attorney Keisha Oxendine resigns position amid mayor and city council president recall efforts and controversial video posted online showing the city's mayor. Sources within the city of Mullan confirm to KHQ that Oxendine resigned her position late last week. Oxendine was working as part time city attorney sources say. Last Monday a video on YouTube was posted showing mayor Mike Dunnigan shouting at a Mullan resident using profanities. The man who posted the video, Jeff Bergstrom is spearheading an effort to recall mayor Dunnigan and city council president Dan White because Bergstrom believes the city "Mis handled" public funds. More than 20 people within the city have signed the initial petition to begin a recall process. KHQ spoke with Mayor Dunnigan in person who would not speak on camera and declined to comment about the video, or that the city had mis handled funds. That also was the case for Jeff Bergstrom when KHQ spoke with him. The YouTube video shows Dunnigan saying to Bergstrom "You'll be served with slander by the end of the week" accusing Bergstrom of lying about the city mis handling funds. Messages left with to Keisha Oxendines office were not returned.
