SPOKANE, Wash. - A 70-year-old woman with early onset Alzheimer's who wandered off from her daughter in downtown Spokane Thursday afternoon has been found safe in the Nine Mile area, hours after she walked away.

Spokane police tell us Miyoko Prych walked away from a salon at 1105 N Lincoln around 1:30pm Thursday.

A STA bus driver saw a female fitting the description of Prych in the area of Driscoll/Rowan walking westbound around 3:45pm.

She was spotted north of Spokane in the nine mile area by a couple returning home dinner around 8:00pm.

they knew something was wrong because they did not recognize her.

they put Prych in their car and called 9-1-1.

Prych's two daughters showed up a short time later, thankful that their mother is safe.

Paramedics say Prych didn't have any injuries and have no idea how she made it that far.

Her only complaint was that she was thirsty.
