Sunday's Weather Update: Blazing Sun & More Meteor Showers

Today: It's a hot, hazy day… Searing sunshine roasts the entire region…High 93° (in Lewiston 103°)

Overnight: Clear skies…Stay up late or wake up before sunrise to view the "Perseid" meteor showers. Their numbers increase dramatically after midnight & peak near 4AM. In the countryside, you may see up to 70 per hour & nearly 40 per hour in the suburbs

Monday:  Remember yesterday? It's another one of those days to gear yourself to enjoy a morning walk, some water recreation & watch the fiery sunset …Low/High 61°/92°

FYI:  "The Big Burn" of 1910 was just beginning to overwhelm firefighters at this time in history after lightning ignited numerous forest fires in the Bitterroot Mountains of North Idaho. A few days later, 75mph winds would whip flames into a frenzy, razing entire towns & killing 163 people,  including 78 firefighters
