Man Rescues Newborn From Dumpster, Makes Another Shocking Discovery

KHQ.COM - A man who saved a newborn baby from a dumpster after a passerby heard the child crying received quite a shock after learning the child was his.

The 30-year-old Calgary man had just parked outside his apartment complex when another person announced they heard crying coming from an area around a dumpster. He said "I went running over and I jumped in." The baby was kept warm as they waited for emergency crews to arrive and is currently in stable condition.

About eight hours later, detectives informed the man that the mother was his girlfriend "And from that point on my world has been going 10,000 places."

Investigators say they do not believe the man knew he had a son until after the incident. The mother will undergo a psychological examination on Wednesday.
