Love And Music Create 51 Plus Years Of Magic

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Many say that music is the language of love. Non have proven that more than Larry and Sharon Strobel.

The couple began their life-long journey together more than 51 years ago, on a school band trip.

Larry, who is six years older than Sharon, is a French Horn player and teacher for North Idaho College. Sharon is a Flute player, and both play with N.I.C. Wind Symphony Orchestra, and have been for the last 39 years.

The couple are the only two still with the group out of the five original members still alive.

KHQ reporter Dylan Wohlenhaus spoke with N.I.C. faculty member Terry Jones who had this to say about Larry and Sharon, "He's always helping out the horn players. He's doing this and doing that. Sharon is really good at it too. So it's like having all these teachers."

The couple is hoping that they can spread their love and passion of music on to the younger generations that pass through their symphony.

This couple has truly proven that youth, is not defined by age.
