Last theater shooting victim leaves Colo. hospital

AURORA, Colo. (AP) - The final patient remaining in the hospital after being wounded during the mass shooting at a suburban Denver movie theater has left the hospital.

The University of Colorado Hospital released a statement saying Caleb Medley was discharged Wednesday and will be going to a long-term care facility. The hospital did not disclose any further information on his condition, citing privacy laws.

The aspiring comedian was among the 58 people wounded in the July attack that killed 12 others as a gunman opened fire at a midnight showing of the latest Batman movie.

Medley suffered a head wound in the shootings and has undergone multiple surgeries.

His wife, Katie, gave birth to the couple's first child, Hugo, days after the attack.
