JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Valid drivers license & good driving record (no tickets) for last 3 yrs

This regional short line railroad is constructing a spur between Coulee City and Wilbur.  This is heavy physical labor for 10 hour days and requires physical strength to perform the work in outdoor conditions subject to weather extremes. 

Duties consist of spiking ties, using a hydraulic tamper, and work with other hydraulic tools.  Applicants must be able to lift 75 pounds on a regular basis. 

Previous experience with rail or road excavation is a plus.  Previous experience with heavy equipment is also an advantage.  Employer is a federal contractor and maintains a drug free workplace.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Able to lift 75 pounds regularly and perform physical work consistently

Able to work four 10 hour shifts and one 5 hour shift each week

Must be prepared and able to demonstrate the following qualifications at the time of referral:

Able to provide own safety boots

Valid drivers license

Able to pass pre-employment drug screen

Willing to either commute Coulee City/Wilbur OR to live in company provided housing in that area

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Any heavy equipment operating experience

Any road or rail excavation/construction experience

Any demonstrated ability to perform physical work for long hours

HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:

Monday through Thursday four 10 hour shifts determined in part by daylight plus Friday 5 hour shift with possible expansion to 50 hours per week; no bus available from Spokane to this location for these shifts

SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:

$14.00 per hour straight time; benefits include $25 per diem and paid housing when living at the job site
