Fire Tears Through Home In North Spokane County

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Firefighters from Fire District #4 were called out to a working structure fire Tuesday evening north of Riverside High School. It happened in the 37000 block of North Findley Road off of Highway 2 just after 8:00pm. When crews arrived they saw flames shooting through the roof of a doublewide trailer and quickly began their attack. They were able to confine the fire to one area of the trailer, however the Red Cross may be assisting the family for the night. A mother, her son, and her son's friend all made it out safely, as well as all dogs and cats. The cause is still under investigation.
