Fire Destroys Shop In Cheney; Collectible Cars Up In Smoke

CHENEY, Wash. - A private shop was destroyed in a fire that broke out just midnight on Sunday, and now a garage full of collectible cars is gone. Fire crews were called to the 13900 block of South Merriney around 11PM for a fully-engulfed garage fire just north of the Cheney city limits. 9 Fire companies responded to this fire to help protect some of the other buildings surrounding the garage. The cars and the shop were destroyed and right now fire crews are looking into a cause. There were no injuries to anyone involved in this fire.
