KHQ.COM - A tea kettle designed by Michael Graves currently selling at J.C. Penney, and potentially resembling Adolf Hitler has the company explaining themselves on social media sites.
The tea kettle was first noticed by Reddit users when it was displayed as an advertisement on a California billboard.
The company responded Tuesday to an onslaught of tweets stating the resemblance to the German dictator is completely coincidental.
"If we had designed it to look like something, we would have gone with a snowman or something fun," the store tweeted at numerous followers.
But the kettle is certainly popular. It has sold out online, though J.C. Penney says it is still available in stores.
