HOUSTON (AP) - Actress Daryl Hannah of "Splash" fame has been jailed in northeast Texas during a protest against an oil pipeline designed to bring crude from Canada to the Gulf Coast.

Hannah's manager says the actress and "a rural Texas great-grandmother" were arrested about 100 miles east of Dallas in the town of Winnsboro. Hannah has long opposed TransCanada's construction of the $7 billion pipeline.
