Court date in NY hotel maid's suit vs Strauss-Kahn

NEW YORK (AP) - A court date has been set to discuss a New York City hotel maid's sexual assault lawsuit against former International Monetary Fund leader Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

Office of Court Administration spokesman David Bookstaver says the hearing will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Bronx.

Strauss-Kahn's lawyers say the two sides have discussed resolving the case. An attorney for his accuser Nafissatou Diallo (na-fee-SAH'-too dee-AH'-loh) declined to comment Tuesday.

The alleged 2011 encounter forced Strauss-Kahn's resignation from the IMF and ended his potential candidacy for the French presidency. Prosecutors later dropped a criminal case against him, saying the accuser had credibility problems. She says she was truthful. He says whatever happened was consensual.

The Associated Press generally does not identify alleged victims of sexual assault, but Diallo has come forward publicly.
