COLVILLE, Wash. - Detectives in Stevens County are investigating an apparent homicide after 56-year-old David Barr was found dead in his home.

Deena Bailey, 49, was arrested Thursday and charged with 2nd Degree Murder in the death of David Barr.

Police say it looked like he had suffered a, quote, "violent death."

When the officers arrived they found Barr dead on the couch with blood on his face and the wall. He also had a black eye.

David's cousin, Robert Barr was the one who discovered the body.

Robert's phone isn't currently working so he ran out to the garbage man outside who called 911 for him. That is when the crime scene started outside his house.

Robert said he broke up an argument between his cousin and Bailey before he went to sleep Wednesday night, but he never thought it would end like this.

Police believe Bailey tried to get out of town on a bus, but she was soon arrested.
