Coeur d'Alene Arson Investigation Now Over

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Coeur d'Alene Police Detectives and the Coeur d'Alene Fire Marshall received a tip that helped solve the residential arson that occurred on July 29th 2012 at 7:30pm in the 1600 block of Nettleton Gulch Rd. The arson caused significant damage to the structure as well as damage to surrounding structures and vehicles.

Detectives gathered information that led them to two male juveniles. Both males were interviewed, and confessed to their role in the Arson. A request for felony charges has been sent to the Prosecutors Office for both suspects.  

Witnesses reported seeing two males fleeing the structure just prior to the fire starting. The structure damaged by arson was a two story town-home style building. It was unoccupied and still under construction at the time of the fire.  

On August 9th 2012, the Kootenai County branch of Crimestoppers of the Inland Northwest offered a financial reward for information leading to the resolution of this crime. The Crime Stopper Board issued a statement today that they intend to contact the tipster and deliver the financial reward. (The amount of Crimestopper rewards are always undisclosed) Attached to this release is a photo of Crime Stopper Board President Tom Keyser at the scene of the Arson.
