SPOKANE, Wash. - Every year, Cinnabon and Operation Gratitude pair up to send care packages over to the troops that are working overseas.
Cinnabon raises the money to send those care packages during the month of October. These care packages include candy, gum, Girl Scout Cookies, and of course, some Cinnabon treats.
The company as a whole raised $55,000 last year. The two stores in Spokane contributed $6,000 to that total. In fact, they raised the most out of any other Cinnabon locations in the country. This year, their goal is $10,000 altogether.
They also are running a promotion. For every dollar you donate, Cinnabon will give you a dollar gift card to spend on more cinnamon rolls. Erin Moffitt is the Assistant Manager at the Cinnabon at Northtown Mall.
"It's an honor to raise money for a great cause that we believe in, everyone knows a troop overseas, it's the least we can do to say thank you to them," Moffitt said.
They also will be hosting an event at the Northtown Mall on October 20th from 3-6pm. They will be raffling off prizes and pairing with Mastercuts, who will be doing a "cut-a-thon" in support of the program.
If you would like to donate to the cause, you can contact the Cinnabon stores for more information. Their email address are as follows: ntowncinnabon@live.com and spokanevalleymall@live.com
