A woman driving eastbound on I-90 Tuesday afternoon was uninjured when her car suddenly caught fire.
Emergency responders say the woman was near Thomas Mallen Road when her car abruptly lost power and the engine began to smoke. She quickly pulled over and her engine became engulfed in flames. The woman was able to get out and was not injured.
Fire District #10 responded and put the fire out. Eastbound traffic was reduced to 1 lane for some time, but has since reopened. No word on what caused the fire.
