COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho - Coeur d'Alene Police SRO's obtained a warrant of arrest today for Lillie Alvarado, 45 years of age, of Bakersfield, California for the charge of 2nd degree kidnapping.
Alvarado is charged for her role in transporting a 14 year-old female run-away from her residence in Coeur d'Alene Idaho to the suspect's residence in Bakersfield. Alvarado traveled by train on March 1st to Spokane Washington. She then rented a car and drove to Coeur d'Alene Idaho where she parked and waited at the end of the block for the fourteen year-old to get into her car. This occurred sometime after 9:45pm.
Alvarado then drove them both to Spokane where they stayed for a short time at the Red Lion Inn. Alvarado drove the juvenile to the train station, and purchased a ticket for both of them to travel to Bakersfield.
School Resource Officers and FBI agents followed investigative leads, and the FBI was able to locate the juvenile at the residence of Alvarado on March 5th 2013.
The juvenile is currently in the custody of Child Protective Services of California and arrangements are being made to return her to her family in Coeur d'Alene.
