Building Burns At Concrete Business Near Elk, WA

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Firefighters in District 4 were called to a fire at concrete business on Highway 2 near Elk Saturday night. Officials say when they arrived just after 6:00pm, a 30' x 40' structure at Interstate Concrete and Asphalt was on fire, and had nearly burned all of the way to the ground. The fire was put out, but the building is completely destroyed. Officials say it appears it was burning for quite a while before it was called in. Crews will spend a couple of hours Saturday night mopping up the scene. No word yet on a cause.
