BREAKING: President Obama: "This Is A Day For Prayer & Reflection"

FT. MYERS, FLorida - President Obama, during a campaign stop in Florida Friday morning,  addressed the mass shooting at a theater early this morning in suburban Denver.

"We are going to stand by our neighbors in Colorado during this extraordinarily difficult time," said President Obama. "This is a day for prayer and reflection."

After the addressing the crowd in Ft. Myers, the president returned to the White House where he will be monitoring developments throughout the day. There are reports he may address the nation later today.

At least 12 are dead and 38 injured. The shooter, 24-year-old James Holmes, who had no significant police or military history, is in custody. Police say 10 of the victims died in the theater watching the premiere of 'Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.' The others died after being hospitalized.

We will have coverage throughout the day on KHQ.com including our NewsBreaks streaming live at 10, Noon and 2 as well as on our Facebook and Twitter feeds.
