Baltimore police: Arrest made in campus shooting

BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore police say an arrest has been made in a shooting on the campus of Morgan State University.

Baltimore police identified the suspect as 20-year-old Kelly Lamont Ellerbee Jr. Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the arrest was made shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Guglielmi says the suspect was identified by witnesses at the scene and was also wanted on drug charges.

Charging documents show Ellerbee is facing attempted murder, assault and weapons charges. The documents also identify the victim as Michael Campbell. And they say officers found a shell casing in a bathroom in the campus' student center while investigating the shooting last week.

The campus was locked down for a time after the shooting.
