Administrator Of Coeur d' Alene Care Facility Fined, Can't Renew

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) - The former administrator of a northern Idaho assisted living facility has been fined and won't be able to renew her license after state officials said she failed to report abuse allegations.    The Coeur d'Alene Press (http://bit.ly/S1ka9g ) reports that the Board of Examiners of Residential Care Facility Administrators fined Candy Bedelia Ann Pentland $1,000 and ordered her to pay another $1,500 in investigative costs late last week.    Pentland ran Sylvan House in Hayden from late 2009 to early 2010. Investigators with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare said that shortly after she took the job, a caregiver told Pentland that an elderly man had fondled an older woman with dementia. The investigators said that Pentland decided not to report the incident because the elderly woman wasn't showing signs of distress.     Information from: Coeur d'Alene Press, http://www.cdapress.com(Copyright 2012 The Associated Press.
