4-Year-Old Idaho Girl Kicked In Face By Horse

KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) - A 4-year-old Washington state girl is recovering at a Boise hospital after being kicked in the face by a horse at a barn in south-central Idaho.    Blaine County Sheriff Gene Ramsey tells the Idaho Mountain Express (http://bit.ly/PrSmMN ) that Samantha Hutchinson of Redmond, Wash., suffered a "complete facial frontal skull fracture" after being kicked just before noon Sunday at a barn in southern Blaine County.    Ramsey says his office was told the girl was in stable condition Wednesday and doctors were expecting her to fully recover.    Ramsey says the horse owner and Samantha's mother took her to the barn to see the horse and she apparently startled it, causing it to kick.    The girl underwent surgery at St. Luke's hospital in Boise and was being treated in the pediatric intensive care unit.(Copyright 2012 The Associated Press.
