CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) - Authorities in southwestern Idaho say 30 malnourished dogs have been seized from a Caldwell home that also appears to have contained an illegal marijuana growing operation. The Canyon County Sheriff's Office says 65-year-old Jerry Krebs faces 30 counts of animal cruelty and potential charges involving the marijuana. Authorities say Canyon County Animal Control deputies received an anonymous tip Thursday morning from a person concerned about the welfare of the dogs. When deputies arrived later that day they found the dogs as well as what appeared to be a marijuana growing operation. That led to a search warrant being obtained by the City County Narcotics Unit. The dogs have been taken to a secure location to be evaluated by a licensed veterinarian.(Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
