3-Year-Old Suffers From Accidental Gunshot

KNDU.COM/SUNNYSIDE, Wash. - A boy is in critical condition after being accidentally shot in the head.

Sunnyside police said they received a call around 9:30 Monday night from Sunnyside Community Hospital. Hospital workers told police they were treating a 3-year-old gunshot victim.Police said they believe the boy was accidentally shot while riding in a car in the area of Yakima Valley Highway and East Edison Avenue.

The boy was treated at Sunnyside Community Hospital and then airlifted to Seattle.

The incident is under investigation.
