Will Lindsay Lohan's storage locker be put up for auction?

TMZ reports that Lohan's storage unit may be up for auction this month because she owes $16,000 to the storage company. Lohan, 26, failed to pay her monthly bill for several months and now the locker cannot be opened until the balance is paid in full, which means Lohan could lose expensive clothes, family heirlooms and other personal possessions.

Lohan has reached out to family and friends to help her pay the bill because the IRS has frozen her bank accounts. Despite some reported financial assistance from her Scary Movie 5 co-star Charlie Sheen, Lohan allegedly owes more than a $100,000 in back taxes, which is why her accounts were frozen.

Back in 2007, the contents inside a storage unit belonging to Paris Hilton were auctioned off, photographed and then posted on the website Parisexposed.com. Visitors could pay a $40 fee to see Hilton's possessions. She later sued the site.

The news comes one day after Lohan's probation was revoked after allegations stemming from a June car accident. She is due back in court on Jan. 15.
