Madonna tried to rock the vote Saturday, but she drew boos from the crowd after telling concertgoers to vote for Barack Obama over Republican candidate Mitt Romney, according to  The Associated Press.

Madonna defends controversial MDNA tour in open letter

During her performance in New Orleans Saturday night, Madonna asked fans if they were registered to vote in the upcoming presidential election. "I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama," she said, drawing boos and causing some fans to walk out. "Seriously, I don't care who you vote for... Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote."

This isn't the first time Madonna has drawn backlash during her tour. She was booed in Paris when she left the stage after only 45 minutes. She has also repeatedly flashed her breasts while performing, and a conservative French political party threatened to sue the singer for showing a video of leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika on her forehead during a concert in Paris.
