Kim Kardashian says she may quit Instagram

By Liz Raftery,

The popular photo-sharing app Instagram announced new terms of service this week, which many interpreted to mean that the company can sell private photos or use them in advertising without compensating users. Needless to say, the new policy left many Instagrammers up in arms -- including the app's most followed user, Kim Kardashian.

Though the company has now backpedaled and issued a statement vowing not to sell users' photos and apologizing for the "confusing" language of the announcement, a number of users, including Kardashian, have threatened to abandon the app if the reports are true.

"I really loved Instagram :-( I need to review this new policy. I don't think it's fair," Kardashian, who has more than 5.7 million people following her Instagram feed, tweeted earlier this week.

The socialite is considering dropping the service entirely, according to TMZ.

Other celebrities who use the service to connect with fans include Justin Bieber and President Barack Obama.

Do you use Instagram? Are you upset about the new policy?
