Josh Brolin and Diane Lane are divorcing after eight years of marriage, a rep for Brolin confirms to TVGuide.com.

Brolin and Lane married in 2004 and have no children together. They separated a couple of months ago, according to Us Weekly, which first reported the news.

"It was a mutual decision," a source close to the couple tells the magazine. "It is very amicable. It's not ugly, it's just over."

On New Year's Day of this year, Brolin was arrested for public intoxication.

Brolin has two grown children from his previous marriage to actress Alice Adair. Lane was previously married to actor Christopher Lambert.
