John Travolta sued by alleged former secret lover

By Kate Stanhope,

John Travolta is being sued by a former pilot who claims he carried on a secret relationship with the actor for several years, TMZ reports.

Doug Gotterba, who claims he served as Travolta's pilot from 1981 to 1987, recently gave a tell-all interview to The National Enquirer about his "steamy affair" with the actor. Soon after the story published, Gotterba says he received a letter from Travolta's attorney, Marty Singer, threatening to sue him for violating a confidentiality agreement he signed when he stopped working for Travolta.

In the suit Gotterba filed in response to the letter, he alleges that he did sign a termination agreement, but it did not include anything regarding confidentiality. Gotterba goes on to say that he did nothing wrong and should be allowed to discuss his alleged relationship with Travolta without fear of a lawsuit.

However, Singer told TMZ Gotterba did sign a contract that includes a confidentiality agreement and that he included the document in his lawsuit. "Mr. Gotterba obviously filed this lawsuit to get his 15 minutes of fame. We plan to get this meritless case promptly dismissed," Singer told the site.

This is the fourth lawsuit brought on against Travolta this year. Two masseurs and a cruise worker sued him over accusations of improper sexual behavior, but the suits were later dropped.
