Jesse Tyler Ferguson is engaged!

Congratulations to Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who recently got engaged to his boyfriend, attorney Justin Mikita, and is launching a new nonprofit project to boot.

"I popped the big Q!" the Modern Family star says in the introductory video for Tie the Knot, a foundation he launched with Mikita to promote marriage equality.

"I said yes!" says Mikita, who also appears in the video.

The couple have been dating for almost two years and have also partnered with The Tie Bar to create a collection of customized bowties, with all proceeds going to organizations that promote equal rights for same-sex couples.

"We're just like millions of Americans who are denied the basic civil rights to marry the person that we love," Ferguson says in the clip.
