Jerry Lewis released from hospital after collapsing

Comedian Jerry Lewis is back at his hotel after being hospitalized Tuesday night, USA Today reports.Lewis was rushed to the hospital after low blood sugar caused the 86-year-old to collapse at a gala in New York City. Lewis was attending the event to present Tom Cruise with a Friars Club Entertainment Award, as well as to be honored with the club's Applause Award.Check out more of today's breaking newsThe entertainer has since been treated and has returned to his hotel room.Lewis' rep Candi Cazau said Lewis had simply forgotten to eat or drink and was only taken to the hospital as a precaution.This isn't Lewis' only health scare in recent years. He has also had trouble with prostate cancer, Type 1 diabetes, pulmonary fibrosis and heart disease.
