Jena Malone in negotiations for Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire

Jena Malone is Catching Fire: The Sucker Punch actress has joined the cast of The Hunger Games sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Philip Seymour Hoffman offered role in Catching Fire
In the sequel, the country of Panem will be celebrating the 75th Hunger Games, an all-stars edition of the televised deathmatch in which surviving victors head back into the arena. Malone will portray Johanna Mason, a sarcastic and mean-spirited female tribute from District 7 who loves to make former champ Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) feel as uncomfortable as possible.
Should Malone sign on, she'll also be expected to appear in the trilogy's final installment Mockingjay. Catching Fire is slated to begin production in September.
