Holly Madison leaves home after dispute over giant dog house

Holly Madison's relationship with her homeowners association has really gone to the dogs.

The former Girls Next Door star is selling her home in Southern Highlands, Las Vegas, because of an ongoing dispute with the association over a giant pink dog house she built in her backyard, according to Las Vegas Weekly.

"I built this ridiculous, human-sized doghouse behind my house, and when I went over it with my contractor, he consulted the HOA on all their restrictions and whatnot," Madison told Las Vegas Weekly. "He told me it has to match the architecture of the house, so I did that with the roof because people would see the roof. It's possible you could see the roof from the street, but you can't see any of it from the street, actually."

Still, Madison claims that the association continues to give her and her boyfriend, Pasquale Rotella, grief over the house.

"They keep fining me for having it painted pink," the mom-to-be said of the house, which sits on a bed of pallets next to her pool. "It's a temporary structure, so it's not even under their jurisdiction. That would be like harping on someone over their kids' jungle gym."

Madison said she hasn't paid the fines, which she said work out to about $100 per month. "I just keep sending them nasty letters," she said.

Madison said she and Rotella plan to bring the house (and their three dogs) with them to their new home.
