By Kate Stanhope,

Heath Ledger's parents are opening up about their late son in a new interview with Australia's New Idea magazine, according to Extra.

In the interview, to commemorate the upcoming fifth anniversary of Ledger's death, Kim and Sally Ledger say their son's daughter Matilda is "very much" like her father.

"Matilda has the same walk as Heath and is such a respectful little kid," dad Kim said. "Our family has the most wonderful relationship with both Matilda and Michelle [Williams]; we talk frequently and visit as often as we can."

Ledger died at the age of 28 after an accidental drug overdose in 2008. Former fiancée Williams welcomed their only child Matilda in 2005 before they split two years later. Kim and Sally Ledger accepted Ledger's posthumous Oscar, which he won in 2009 for Best Supporting Actor for playing The Joker in The Dark Knight. "It has been an extremely difficult five years, as not a day goes by when we don't feel the immense loss of Heath," his mom Sally said.
