Have Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth split?

Amid persistent rumors that they've called off their engagement and split up, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth continue to spend time apart, with Cyrus in Los Angeles and Hemsworth spending time with his brother Chris and other family members in Australia, according to reports.

On Wednesday, the New York Post reported "Miley and Liam are done," citing a source close to the pair who claimed  Hemsworth grew tired of Cyrus's "partying" and she grew tired of his "wandering eye,"

Last week, Cyrus was photographed without her engagement ring, which further fueled speculation that she and Hemsworth have called it quits.

But also on Wednesday, a (presumably different) source told E! News, "[Miley and Liam] have been a bit rocky, but are not giving up. They both want it to work."

TVGuide.com's emails to reps for  Hemsworth and Cyrus were not immediately returned.
