Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman are separating

Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman are separating after more than 30 years of marriage, their rep confirms to TVGuide.com.

DeVito and Perlman played a couple on the TV show Taxi, and also co-starred in the 1996 film adaptation of Roald Dahl's Matilda. They also co-founded the entertainment company Jersey Group, whose film division has produced titles including Pulp Fiction, Garden State and Erin Brockovich.

Perlman previously starred in Cheers and has recently made guest appearances on Hung and Wilfred. DeVito is currently starring in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

The couple have three adult children -- Lucy, 29; Grace, 27 and Jacob, 24.
