Dakota Fanning gets a new 'do

Dakota Fanning's got a brand new 'do!

The 18-year-old actress debuted her new hair color at Monday's premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2. The natural blonde dyed her hair brunette for an upcoming role.

"I decided I needed a change," she told Yahoo. "For the character I was playing, I couldn't be a blonde."

In the final installment of the Twilight franchise, Fanning's character Jane and the Volturi will go head-to-head with the Cullen clan -- and being evil has been a blast for Fanning. "It's nice to let go and know that your character is mean, and just have fun with it," she said. "It's good to be bad."
